Betty Rembert

Betty Rembert ProfileMy husband George and I shared a love of photography, beginning in the early seventies with film and darkroom technology, and continuing into the digital and lightroom era. He was the master of it all, always studying and learning, and finally teaching and mentoring through the Ashe Camera Club. He was also co-founder of the CatchLight Gallery, giving photographers a home in the art world.

I was always there as George’s assistant and companion, but not until 2011 did I begin taking photographs myself, first with a simple point and shoot camera, and now with a Canon 5D. I especially enjoy macro photography and the challenge of capturing creatures and flowers in the field in natural light. However, I love it all. The world beckons with all its variety and richness, the landscapes, the people, the rivers, the streets, the creatures. I want to capture it all.
