Kelly Clampitt

Originally from Oklahoma and transplanted to the Los Angeles area, Kelly graduated from Otis Parsons School of the Arts with a BA in fine art photography in 1987. She worked as a photographer in the outdoor industry on staff and freelancing through 2010 before moving to Ashe County, NC to “live in the woods.”

Kelly’s work runs the gamut of exotic botanical shots, unusual landscapes, fantastical photo montage, intimate portraiture, and raw documentary photography.

Excited to be part of a smaller community and to focus on personal work, Kelly’s recent exhibition venues include the New River Visitor’s Center, Ashe Arts Center, Ashe County Library and numerous arts & crafts festivals. Kelly was also chosen to participate in the 2012 Lansing Project photography exhibition at the New River Winery.
